WOW, a non-denominational group of strong-in-faith women, is excited to announce our next Bible Study - Luke Gut-Level Compassion by Lisa Harper: PERFECTION NOT REQUIRED....... Many of us believe that we aren’t good enough to meet other people’s expectations. Maybe you can’t wrap words around why, but lurking beneath the surface of the carefully curated façade you present in public, it’s there. Being missed and marginalized by others moves us to assume we’re not quite good enough for God either. The great news woven throughout the Gospel according to Luke is that perfection is not a prerequisite for a deep and personal relationship with Jesus. In fact, this riveting account reveals that Jesus is especially fond of ragamuffins in need of a safe place to lean in and linger! Join Lisa Harper in this Bible study of a literary masterpiece that doesn’t celebrate the elite, but embraces the outliers, outcasts, and overlooked. Although this is an 8 week study, we will take 16 weeks to complete. We will watch a video one week, and discuss the lessons the following week. This allows one to really absorb the lessons well. We are having open house on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 6:30 pm and would like all present members and any interested members to come learn about this study. We also will share some prayer time and faith time - a get to know each other time! Then, once you know more, we hope you will join us the following Tuesday, January 28, starting at 6:30 pm to begin this study. You will received your study books and we will watch the first video.
